A morning person I am not, but I witnessed the second sunrise in my life (the first being an unforgettable version at Bali) sitting quietly by the edge of Danau Toba. I don’t remember what made Patrick and I scrambled out of bed before breaking dawn as it wasn’t in our itinerary to wait for the sun to say hello. Nonetheless, it was a mesmerizing experience.
{PJs, sleepy eyes, happy face}
I never thought I’d grow fond of this lake until this ride encapsulated the rich greens and deep blues in my bank of wanderlust memories.
Instead of taking the Lamhot back, try this travel plan:
1. Samosir Island
Take a boat ride out from Tuk Tuk.
Hop into a rented taxi for a day with a best buddy.
Transportation: 1250k rupiah per person
2. Parapat: Sipiso-Piso waterfall
Must See: This nature’s amazing creation.
Entrance fee: 8k rupiah 3. Brastagi: Mount Sibayak + Mount Sinabung
The charming weather eventually turned 50 shades of grey clouds so we didn’t really make a helluva adventure out of our road trip nor took many picturesque photos. After saying hello goodbye to the two mountains brokebacking, we journeyed to Medan where this happened.
Entrance fee: 8k rupiah
As this will probably be my last trip to Indonesia, I end my hypothesis with (a laugh and) a lonely fisherman cruising along the calm lake of Toba.
nice one cindy!!!! i wanna go to danau toba soon
