Tattooed World
Today brings an adventure through lush greens under skin piercing sun, finding ourselves inside long houses, testing our hands on traditional musical instruments, getting inked like a local . . . you name it! Our third and last day at Sarawak was a true 360 Borneo experience. The idea of housing Rainforest World Music Festival in the cultural village itself is just brilliant. Once again, big thanks to AirAsia and Sarawak Tourism Board for such marvelous travel + experience opportunity . Photo diary below!
{the sunny entrance}
{signing off with teycindy.com }
{explored the Sarawak Cultural Village during the day; when even the slightest detail is made visible}
{pretend drumming}
{witnessed breathlessly as the villagers’ daily lives unfold in front of my very own eyes}
{leaving a rumah panjang and thank God I didn’t get hang like those skulls you see!}
{more tattoos before leaving}
{there’s always a time to say hello, and a time to say goodbye . . .}
{it was indeed nice to learn that Benjamin was part of the team too! – someone from an agency I used to ‘bully’ when i was working at W}
{group picture at the airport}
{*excited* – taking off!}
{assigned to Hot Seats! – AirAsia}
{<3 red heart sunnies to match my cushion <3}
{steaming hot Briyani for dinner, served by the super friendly stewards from AirAsia}
{dining in sunset, above golden skies. “how could i possibly ask for more?” my heart silently whispers . . .}
