Manly Beach

IMG_5380

As an islander wannabe i’ve been to many beaches and this one named Manly, is certainly ‘man enough’ for me. Usually my beach vacations involve getting sticky in sun block, collecting sand in my shoes, and capturing salty sea breeze in my hair; but Manly is a gentleman. At the end of the day we left feeling like we just arrived, but with a lighter heart, clearer head – both filled with the loveliest memories a beach could ever offer. Ever since, i learned that not all coastal getaways must involve swimming in bikinis to gain utmost fun; though Ai Rene and i had dearly hoped to jump into the almost glass-like sea which was as cold as liquified ice (finding ourselves secretly admitting that we’d rather be burned to death). #dramatic

This is a long blog post about our journey from the jetty, the unforgettable walk along the coast together, all the way to the main beach where we had beer battered fish and chips while being serenaded by the whispering wind – the kind captured in seashells (but with the volume turned down to level swish swosh). Really, life is only as beautiful as you want to live it; so please allow it to happen. 😉
