The past few weeks in Berlin was a series of bone-frosting episodes until one ‘magical’ Saturday, the sun decided to lend its precious rays. É and I decided to make the most of the rare opportunity so we carried our monstrous DSLR out for a photography session along the street art alley in Hackescher Markt, a ‘secret’ spot that exhibits Berlin’s graffiti at its best.
To give you an idea of how crazy this place is, one can find a giant Humpty Dumpty sitting atop an iron cage enclosing a flight of underground stairs that lead to ‘monster cabinet’, a bar with aquariums where plastic aliens soak in, a museum with a huge Anne Frank’s face painted across it, and a curious-looking cinema café right up front amongst countless otherworldly things.
For the day out I wore an all-black ensemble in contrast to the rainbow graffiti wall. My little black dress comes with a lacy hood to add to the drama, and I can’t wait for the day to come when I can wear it minus the leggings because its lace detailing at the bottom is just too sexc to be camouflaged away like that!
