A Look Inside : Our Home in Cingapore
What happened after the court case saga?
Many friends have been asking about our survival after the disastrous move to Cingapore – are you still trapped in that sh*thole, are you temporarily homeless, or have you moved out? To be honest, I was very curious myself.
After many gloomy days, it became quite hard to see the light. But all the while I had in my hands a silver lining weaved from hope and faith – hope that luck buds at our side and strong faith that truth always prevails.
Despite Singapore’s laws leaning towards protecting landlords more than tenants, I was determined to believe that no crooks can simply get away while the cheated, suffer. (Read on How to Apply for Small Claims here.)
On a separate note, not in my wildest dreams did I imagine moving twice in a year. Some of you may have seen our first place back in Malaysia; a large, luxurious unit with sprawling gardens and sparkling KL skyline – we had to let it go due to É’s work circumstances. I saw pictures of it just now and realized how much space we had to play around with. Little did I realize that I do miss the first home we built together and got married in.
In this third episode of my Cingapore series, I’m inviting you to take a look inside our cosy new home; where space is brilliantly used, mood very much like your favorite next-door-café, with an Asian (Japanese) meets Western theme; just like me and É. (A beautiful coincidence that I love: so happens that our owner is also Portuguese and shares the same last name as É!) Chancing upon this house, I can’t help but starting to believe that everything is already written in the stars and happens for a reason.
