Ang gu gu…
Chak!
That’s the sound you make to cheer up a baby OR, it could also be a sound made by some kinda animal in the jungle. Truth is the first one but whatever – i’m using the second to proceed with my post.
Why?
Because last week, me, a|x, & Humbert decided to go to The Green Party. It is a party in a jungle. Literally! Can you believe it?
This is cute a|x with the largest Oreo we’ve ever seen… and we’re sharing it with you! Just don’t think it’s real. 😉
We reached the jungle a.k.a Janda Baik at around 7.30 p.m. It is somewhere before Genting Highlands and this was our room. O_O!
You go in, there’s a window and two single beds, a plug, habis cerita. (which also means there’s no aircond or even a fan! i almost fainted)
i am a person who tries to find The Reason when thrown into a terrible situation. And i could clearly see with this one that they want you to GET OUT and SOCIALIZE! Not stay in the room all comfy and stuff.
So i went out where the people were warming up to the party :
Where meals were served.
And see this? i had to work my cochlea hard to cross THIS frickin’ thing :
FML maximus. If a|x didn’t help me i most prolly fell down that pit and got raped by snakes and millipedes.
The fun part was obviously for me, the food / BBQ. No need for perfume too! Get it? -_-
Everyone was given a green ribbon to tie on their wrist. If you lose it, bless you – no more free flow alcohol for ya.
This is the most handsome animal in the jungle wtf
Now. Here comes the mixing of our mojito. It was superfun to watch so i took pictures of the process :
Cut the limes into halves,
add in the mint leaves,
squeeze these guys with all your heart’s content using a pestle,
have fun tasting the potion in the midst of mixing (to see if you need more rum),
and YES we DO need more RUM, lol
lastly, ice ice baby~
And you have your mojito! 🙂
There was a Malay band performing for us; which i truly enjoyed.
They played mostly old rock songs. A mixture of English and Bahasa.
If i were a boy…
After a few cups of magic potion, the guys took over the poor band and started to conquer the mics.
Knock knock knockin’…
on heaven’s door!
Our rockstar in a sarong. Don’t ask!
Memalu kompang with Chris from Germany.
Here’s a video of the guys singing, but make sure you don’t watch till the end!
Lalala…
After the band went home, it was time to move the party (and mojito) to the grass (not like we never left it anyway, lol) as…
the boys were starting up a bonfire!!!
Shawty fire burnin’ on the grass floorrr, uh wo oo oh~
See the smoke comin’ out from the bamboos?
There were people from 15 different countries in this party.
This is a firey me. But nothing beats :
The firey fart!
O.M.G.
DJ Sepi from Barcelona spinnin’ our head right round~
That night i also found out that a|x and Humbert are gay.
Disappointed with my two Spanish friends, i decided to mix with people from other countries.
And obviously that was a joke, if you didn’t get it. This guy took care of me like i’m a princess while dear ol’ Humberto cracked me up like a nut.
Will blog about the second and last entry on The Green Party this Monday. Have a great weekend and Happy Deepavali from us everyone! x
hohoho~~ what a nice party there. thanks for sharing^^
my pleasure~!
Erm, how is it a “green” and “eco-friendly” party if there was
quite big bonfire that would leave some carbon footprint?
ask the organizer. haha!!
