Whenever the word Sime Darby comes to mind, i always think: Property. Second thought: BFM.
But who would have thought that Sime Darby Property has co-created a whole home makeover show namedThe Apartment Style Edition. Hot and talented judges, beautiful and sexy contestants, a delicious, heart-longing prize anybody would die for in the end… and to top it all off, to those who has a heart for Home & Design like me, this show promises you mind-blowing tips for your home. Whereas to those who need some ‘color’ in their life (instead of their rooms), rest assured this show has the right carton of drama for you. But beforehand, allow me to start by introducing you to the fabulous manly man judges.
Jamie Durie is one of the most well-renowned and sought-after interior designers across the globe. Also a best selling author of nine books and television host for countless top-rated shows, he is one of Australia’s most recognizable, favorite talents! Born in northern Sydney, Jamie’s inspiration comes from the vast natural beauty of the Australian landscape, extensive international travel and a passion for Eastern culture and lifestyle through his Sri Lankan heritage. Wow, sexc!
Fabulous and flamboyant, Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen, on the other hand, is all about big, bold and beautiful style. He designed Queen’s Jubilee decorations with the W1, and his familiar face worldwide is best known for his appearances on the BBC television program Changing Rooms. Having that said, you may think of Lawrence as the Simon Cowell of American Idol, as he is not planning to go easy on the contestants – “I love the enthusiasm, dedication and commitment from the teams, but they had better watch out because if I feel they are getting it wrong, they will be getting it in the neck from me.’. Tough love there, Lawrence!

What is a reality show without some drama? You can definitely rely on an ex participant like myself (God forbid, remember MDG?) to remind you that. While Jamie says “I love reality TV and everything about The Apartment is right down my alley”, Lawrence is looking for originality, individuality and outside-the-box ideas from the contestants; pushing them to design out of their comfort zone! The eight couples are also paired very interestingly – 2 BFFs, 2 strangers, Black & Blonde, etc, with a mixture of all kinds of race, culture, profession and background. But like all reality show goes, the Grand Prize awaiting in the end is always worth it:
