As a product of my parents (my mum has double eyelids while my dad, inner double eyelids), I have a double eyelid on my right, and an inner double eyelid on my left. As far as I can remember, it never used to be like this when I was a child. (Some Chinese believe that if you have such eyes, it means you are a 花心罗卜). Though I have no scientific beauty explanation to counter that, I think to be asymmetrical is more interesting. And it shouldn’t matter; especially when you have a simple, quick trick to balance them whenever you want to.
The only tool you need: Eyelid stickers. These are ready made ones you can get from any SaSa outlet.
Look straight into the mirror and study your eyes. Identify where the new fold should start on the lid you want to adjust.
Shape the folds to your desire using the back of a tweezer / any tool that won’t hurt you. Sometimes I only use my fingers.
Peel an eyelid sticker.
Stick it! If you have an eyelid like the one on my left, I discovered that the sticker placement usually starts (very) near the inner corner of the eye, (ever so) slightly above the eyelid; as shown above.
So what’s the secret, you ask?
Sticker placement varies for different people. The secret is to try as many times as you need, by placing the sticker on (many) different positions; left / right, up / down, adjusting only 0.02 to 0.03 cm at a time until you get it right.
Unfortunately, that’s the only way (unless you get a makeup artist / beauty advisor to figure it out for you). Once you learn where your placement should be, REMEMBER that spot using the help of your natural eye lines, or take a picture of it if you have to.
p.s. You may find this process frustrating if you are doing it for the first time, but remember: you only have to figure this out once; from then on it’s your secret forever.
