Museums (outside of South East Asia, unfortunately) never fail to fascinate me. There is something about the aura of museums that makes me feel very much contained; that I belong to a treasure of old secrets and its air always smells of wisdom, just like in libraries. During my visit to Ankara’s Hittite Museum in Turkey, I discovered some interesting items from the Hittite period that caught my attention:
{Perhaps Harvey Dent of Two Face really exists?}
{I can’t help but wonder what’s the relationship here and why did they die? Is it a mother and her daughter? P.S. Notice that the young one is wearing bracelets on both her wrists}
{How a home looks like for the ancient Anatolians}
{Test: How many bears can you count?}
{Piggy bank seems to exist waayyy before our time}
{Amazing writings and drawings on stones}
{Bones as good as gold}
{The most sophisticated table I’ve ever seen – don’t forget that this is designed around 1600 BC!}
{Money, money, money}
{Gold accessory – how amazing is this craftsmanship?!}
