Maxi dresses may seem too much for daytime wear, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is an option you can’t consider. During summer holidays like this or this and even pool parties, I find myself leaning towards fun, flow-y dresses to elevate my look with a touch of sophistication. Here’s the trick – the main characteristic to look for when choosing a wearable maxi without overdressing, is in the fabric and detailing. If it’s cotton and doesn’t come with glitter / embroidery, chances are you can rock it throughout the day. For a weekend trip to Yogjakarta, I wore this comfortable grey cotton maxi that easily transitioned from day to night; so all I needed to pack for the day, is just 1 outfit. 😉
