As a Chinese girl celebrating the supposedly auspicious Chinese New Year this 2013, i must say that the snake is personally neither my favorite year, nor animal. i hope you don’t mind, dear reader, that i am gonna write about ‘What i Wore during Christmas Eve‘ instead. However, i promise i’ve included the color red – with hope that it still provides some relevance to CNY.
It was a pretty contradicting sunny winter day. Long before i arrived in Germany i’ve already decided to wear some serious glitter with touches of red hues for the special occasion. i didn’t want to coat up too much ending up looking like a yetti, but neither did i want to catch a cold. This classic wool blazer spun just the right trick on my attempt to achieve a warm yet sophisticated, casual look that is perfect for both day and night.
Instead of going for the usual red pants, i pulled on a pair of cotton trousers in rich maroon, matching them with feather earrings that tried to fly around like wings that whole afternoon. What i love most though was the glitter peplum that lent some festive drama to the whole assemble.
