While some people may enjoy the grab-a-map-and-go thrill, i personally prefer to plan my routes according to the places i want to visit along the map when visiting a foreign country for the first time. Practically and rationally speaking, that way you get to save more time to see more, do more. That’s how we managed to do 7 places in 1 day at Bangkok which consisted of: a gastronomic food hunt along Sukhumvit roads by foot (because the cab driver who could hardly understand english kept dropping us off at fancy seafood restaurants), the 9 wats as seen here, an unforgettable adventurous ride on a tut tut (MUST-TRY) to visit: the Black Buddha, Golden Mount, China Town (which i will feature as a separate post tomorrow), all the dusty way to Central World Plaza for a hearty dinner with probably the best company in the world, followed by street shopping along MBK; where we got cheated by cantankerous club owners (RM10 per entry turned out to be RM400!) into watching monstrous ladyboys shooting ping pong balls from their …..)
{local street food hunting along Sukhumvit soi 18 – HUGE success!}
{Tut-yota}
{colorful summer dresses : floral and checks}
{forgive me. i just HAD to conteng this picture as such}
{the Black Buddha. i’m not pulling a scam here; it was originally black. but because it was said to be one of the most ‘ling‘ Buddhas where your prayers will definitely be heard when it comes to health related wishes, many people over hundreds of years came to stick a piece of gold leaf onto the black buddha where they want to be cured, until there is no space left today}
{the Golden Mount, where rows of bells were chimed in perfect harmony with its scenery}
{goofing around Central World Plaza, which glory has been rebuilt since the bombing in 2010}
{scrumptious Thai food for dinner with awesome girl friends}
{passed by ‘Madrid‘}
{bedazzling light shopping at MBK as featured here in my home office}
