It was never a tradition to color coordinate what-to-wear on the first 2 days of Chinese New Year until a couple of years ago, when somehow, the Tey family (that is mum and me) subconsciously started this discussion of what color palate every member should wear for the particular year.
This pawsperous 2018, we broke the overrated tradition. Color coordination felt rather ‘yesterday’ so I suggested we did print-on-print – stripes, florals, polka, checks. Instead of our own garden, we mini road-tripped to the colorful Fortune Dragon temple for our annual Lunar New Year photoshoot. The result? Waayyy more vivid and interesting photos added to our collection!
I grabbed this fitting opportunity to wear my new colorful see-through top, matched with an origami penguin bag É got me for Christmas, breakfast SPAM earrings (best buy ever) from Minnesota, toned down with classic Superstar sneakers and a black and white polka dots skirt in an interesting cut. Honestly I can already tell this is gonna be one of my top favorite outfits of the dog year!
