{Reunion: 5 Science Class ’03}
{Those were the years…}

We, were the very first batch of science stream students back in 2002. i won’t deny, that being the only Chinese girl in class really was something (special). At times i was treated just like one of them – a guy. At times, a girl ‘the only girl in the world’. Either ways, i had always felt cared of and most importantly – awfully loved, to the point where i asked God the sky: what have i done to land on stars?
Usually when celebrations like Valentine’s, National Day, or Hari Sukan approaches, all the societies would start selling gifts to make some money for their own club. (does your school do that too?) Those were the days when i delightfully carry home boxes, roses, cakes and cards with the cutest messages scribbled inside :oops:. This year, even though i’ll be alone and gift-less, i guess it is a good chance for me to count my blessings and reflect on the priceless collective memories i had, and still have…
On the second day of CNY, we had a reunion dinner at one of what is considered the most famous / expensive restaurants at our hometown. It was the very first time we lou sang together as a (complete) group and i was terribly happy!
These 8 people you see are the faces who were always there for me, who once knew me in and out, who we once spoke to on the phone for hours (or should i say years), who i rode on the back of their motorbikes (minus the helmets) to tuition classes or when i needed to escape exam pressures from home..
Came dessert time the restaurant gave us only one spoon for the tong sui. What really touched my heart was when Nic filled the spoon and passed it to me saying “This is for you. i know you’re afraid of sharing people’s saliva“. Even i, myself had almost forgotten once sharing that fact about me and there he was, reciting it as if i just told him yesterday. (‘:
Good friends are like stars; you don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.
I found this post very touching..:)
Anddd… Wow you the only chinese girl in class? Must been threated like princess hihi… 🙂
hehe.. sort of.. 😳
That is lovely! It encourages me, reading this. I can only hope that I can stay as good friends with my former classmates as you have 🙂 We still meet up, quite often, whenever we’re all back home. But not always the entire group. Hopefully we can continue through the years 🙂
p.s: I was looking at your old photo trying to see which one was you and then realized that there could be only ONE possibility! xD
i hope i can continue with my friends through the years too~ some of us has found their significant other & couldn’t join much the gatherings now..
“Good friends are like stars; you don’t always see them, but you know they are always there”
It’s so true!!!!!! I feel the same way too … not those you see often but the ones that hardly meet and hang out cos of distance and different life
Once you meet again, it’s like you just meet them yesterday
i know right! but somehow lately my girlfriends are disappearing on me. guess they’ve given up listening to my stories..
