It was a night when i crave for something gritty, raw, yet cosmopolitan. Think indie cool rockers, live jazz, and . . . well, a good ol’ pint of cold beer. A scene i often thirst for yet unfortunately does not exist enough in KL. Thankfully, i know i can definitely count on Sydney to satisfy such desire.
To make the night even more diverse, Moo Moo LooMoo, our generous host for the evening, took us on a gastronomy trip in search for the BEST naan experience one could ever get. Fluffy, fluffy naan dipped into what I love to call ‘quality curry’ (not the kind you get from our 24 hours mamak stalls, constantly mixed with water until it cannot afford to be diluted anymore otherwise customers would find out); where you can actually taste the fusion of wild spices accompanied by juicy, tasty tandoori. Perfect way to end a weeknight in style, don’t you think?
p.s. i notice whenever i propose the idea of getting an (alcoholic) drink first before dinner, about 95% of my friends here in Malaysia either reject the idea; thinking the sequence is ‘wrong’, or look at me weird; as if i’m some sorta alcoholic maniac. But . . . really, what’s wrong with a glass of red wine before a good meal?
