While traveling with Ai Rene means everything well-organized, there are some things like arranging for a place to dispense full bladders that can not be planned. Subsequent of one too many coconuts, our eye sight became sharper than hungry eagles’; aiming for just any toilet signs to ambush and attack! After what felt like 5 crazy hours, the cab driver finally made us a short and sweet impromptu stop at a nearby chedi for us to secretly use its “water closet”… and we learn that it was locked out. -_-
Phra Pathom Chedi is one of the six high ranking temples among all royal temples in Thailand (as seen on a 5 satang coin). It was originally built 2,000 years ago in the reign of King Rarna IV to cover the old ore. This new chedi is now aged over a hundred years old and is still the tallest stupa in the World! Getting there: You’ll definitely have to rent a cab as it is located in the city of Nakhon Pathom, 56km west of Bangkok. While searching for the loo we managed to capture some outfit pictures together with our bursting bladders. i’m lucky to have really patient friends, don’t i?
Walking round the stupendous stupa i tried to imagine myself as King Rarna IV. So err… just where about would i pee if i were King? Let the ADVENTURE begin!!!
