hello june

Better Late Than Never.

Hello June indeed! And just like that, we are a step away from mid-2017. It got me thinking about the resolutions I made and whether I’m progressing to achieve at least half of them – something that comes to mind naturally around this time of the year. Speaking from experience, I start stressing out if I wait till July to take action. So this time, I’m renewing resolutions a month ahead; identifying the ones worth keeping by taking away those I keep holding off.

A little ‘secret’: For the past couple of months I’ve been toying with the idea of taking a solid course to become a certified personal fitness trainer. If you happen to know where the best place is to do that in Cingapore, please please let me know in the comment box below!

What I learned in May: While it is important to be organised and tick off items from your to-do-list, it is equally important to keep a done-list to avoid feeling burnout. Crossing then moving completed tasks allows you to see what you’ve achieved rather than just what you have not finished.

Special days to keep you cinspired this month:

14th June

is International Bath Day!

If you have a bathtub and haven’t been making use of it lately, take this day as an excuse to soak, indulge and relax with this bath salt, bath soak, or luxurious deep sleep bath oil.

15th June

is World Meat-Free Day.

A chance to eat clean! Why not try this green stir-fry recipe?

18th June

is International Picnic Day

and this year it falls on a Sunday! I’m hoping it won’t rain so É and I can perhaps do our first picnic together. Just the thought of a rustic yet colorful and healthy picnic basket gets me excited already. 😀

20th June

is World Productivity Day.

A piece of quote to keep you going this day besides coffee:

”Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.” – Paul Meyer

21st June

is World Music Day.

This the day to treat your eardrums with your favorite music or discover new beats.
