One of the easiest put-together that you cannot go wrong with is to mix the two classic colors: black and gold in one outfit. i was rushing out for a quick lunch nearby my place and didn’t want to spend too much time cracking my head matching pieces, so i went for all black – accentuated with gold accessories inspired from the little detailing on both my new top and casual shorts. As usual, i was still late; but trust me i was at least 10 minutes earlier than the usual fashionably late time block. Story of my life.

i’ve spent immeasurable amount of time, money, and effort decorating my room at the Beverly Hills of KL (as i would love to call it), but i’ve never forgotten the room that built me back at my small hometown. It has walls that are washed pink that shines with a temperate dose of gloss when bathed in sun light, fresh linen sheets with delicate embroideries, a bed tiara fixed by my father as an unsaid crown being daddy’s little princess, glow-in-the-dark butterflies hidden at unexpected corners, and the little details that made my chamber very Cindy. Instead of the usual weekend 5 Things post, today promises a special edition of a few things that bring back the memories that are living back home…

This traditional Basque stew of tuna, potatoes, pepper, and onions was created over a tiny burner on a fishing boat. It features the beautiful bonito tuna (caught in the north of Spain) plus one or two ingredients that could survive a sailing trip. For my situation, i had to use the normal kind of tuna we can easily get at convenience stores. There’s a saying in the Basque country that no marmitako is better than the one your mother makes at home. So the next time you are there, don’t look for a restaurant. Go to a bar, make a new friend, and ask him to take you home – - – to eat his mother’s tuna stew!

This is a fashion post that is not a fashion post. It is not as complicated as it sounds, simply because i crafted this like every other fashion posts, but its outfit standards might not be on par to what a fashion post should be. i decided (with full intention) on this casual pairings of a Chang beer singlet that i got from Thailand, together with my trusty pair of old denim shorts. Everything else comes naturally after to fit the frame. Pictures were shot at gramps’ on a faithful swing that exists before me by my favorite photographer – mi hermano. This time i played back the role too and captured a couple of pictures for him making use of the ancient rock walls.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers (and grandmothers) out there! Here’s a silly picture of me and my gorgeous mum taken at gramp’s garden. We played around with a few shots wearing nerdy Nobita glasses and even ‘forced’ it on granny (pictures below)!
