To be honest i was really ‘Proud Cindy’ after receiving your positive comments on Facebook re: my version of Proud Mary (as seen here) and You’re A Song In My Heart (here). Remember this girl who broke up with her boyfriend? Despite being angry and disappointed, she is still very much in love with him and a phone call made her realize that (happens to all of us at least once, doesn’t it?). Do you think she is over-reacting, or did the boy really cheated? After all that guessing for weeks, finally the truth is revealed. i came across a newspaper ad where i could scan a QR code to find out the real story. Truth is, in every normal relationship, misunderstanding happens and sometimes it can simply be avoided with just a phone call. See, it happens both ways:

1. If the boy had immediately called the girl to offer an explanation, she might not have gotten so angry.

2. If the girl had called him for an explanation, he might not be so distracted that he had that accident.

So don’t underestimate the POWER of A call! It really costs almost nothing at all.

Yesterday you’ve seen my post on F1 so today, it’s time to share the details of my special race outfit. i was torn between this piece i was wearing and shorts, so i alternately changed at least 4 times from one to another before leaving the house. In the end i decided on this T-dress, bearing in mind our very own after-party (which turned out to be bakuteh at midnight). What i didn’t tell you though, was the part where my favorite pair of sunnies went missing! It almost feels like someone i love just walked out on me.

LOL! Do you think the guy really cheated on her? All i could think of when i watched all 3 videos was “FHL, FHL, FHL”. The irony is, i’ve been in that situation before – as the girl. It is always easy to see the truth from the outside, but when you’re in the picture everything seems clouded by emotions and the last thing you wanna see is his damn FACE (when he’s actually innocent). That is why, 31st March is chosen to be “Make That Call Day”.

If you have a misunderstanding with someone that is unsettled, why not take this opportunity to fix it? This is a special day to appreciate our loved ones and you’ll see how it can be easily done with a simple phone call by telling them how special they are. Or MAYBE it is for that special someone you’ve always been shy to call?  This could be the special day that changes your life!

i’ve always secretly fancy the idea of watching a race (of cars and horses alike) but never managed to battle the will to buy those expensive tickets. Lucky me to have a friend like Chris, who managed to get 3 for only RM50 each! So there i was with Ruby and Mr Schultz, hopping from cars to train to buses with some kind of anticipated anxiety to reach there in time to grab grub and imaginary good 3 square foot seats. It was a virgin race for all 3 of us and i liked the idea that we just went there almost clueless – not knowing what to expect. Or in other words, adventurous lah. To be honest, i can’t decide which was the most fun part of that particular Sunday: the journey to by public transportation full of cute guys (rare scene), the piercing race that had possibly deafened our ears by a little now, the tasty beef burger that Chris got us, or our incredibly long walk back to the bus stop immersed in beautiful pink sunset. i guess i could conclude that it was one helluva great experience i don’t mind reliving again!

The next sports related event i’m dying to watch now is the AXIATA CUP. Behind every heart break is a love story. But the question is, is the break necessary? i know a few couples who has relationships that come with a remote control. One minute it’s on, the next thing you know it’s off (again). Listening to their stories is really becoming like watching a TV show. It’s okay if you’re in high school but if you’re an adult, i strongly believe nobody should still use the word “breakup” if they don’t actually mean it.

Fights are part of a healthy relationship but if you’re seeing a frequent unfavorable pattern in yours, perhaps it is time to give it some SERIOUS thought. Something small should make you happy, instead of being angry at something small. Love should always make you a better version of yourself, not worse. i’ve learnt that the key to be in a long lasting relationship is communication. It is so, so essential when you come to think about it.

There’re so many couples out there i happen to know that need some kind of disaster to happen before they could learn to appreciate, when the only thing they really need to build is mutual trust through communication. Forget texting, Whatsapp-ing, BBM-ing… b*tch please. If you are fighting with someone, make. a. phone call. A simple dial can settle all the petty misunderstandings you accumulate through those cold chat windows. After all, how much does it take to make a call? Almost nothing at all. Keep the fire of love burning strong! ♥
