Beauty Oils Every Girl Needs

The idea of slathering oil on any part of the body makes most of us, living near the scorching equator, cringe. I, for one, am not exempted but there are 3 extraordinary oil-based products I discovered that deserve exceptions. The trick is how to use them. In this beauty entry, I’ll also share with you when to buy these magical oils so that you can save, save, save.

Here are a total of 3 different types of oils; 1 each for the hair, face and body to keep you moisturized from head to toe:

1.  HAIR: L’OREAL Extraordinary Oil

2016-03-06

The name of this bottle pretty much explains itself. No matter how extraordinary your conditioner or hair mask is, it is normal that our hair’s natural moisture gets strip away with every wash.

How much to use:

3 – 4 pumps at hair ends. Leave in. Can be used when hair is wet or dry. Leaves hair awesome.

When to buy:

At any Watsons or Guardian store when there is a promo going on. I got TWO of these bottles for the price of one – one and a half!

2. FACE: Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil

2016-03-061

This treatment oil deeply moisturizes like no other. It is perfect for traveling during the winter season. I personally use it before bed when no makeup application follows. If you prefer not to use oil as a daily serum, try Kim Kardashian’s tip: Use it only at nights when you know you are going to wash your hair the next morning. This avoids your hair getting oily too – just in case.

How much to use:

A little goes a very long way. 2 – 3 drops onto fingertips, gently PRESSED onto face until absorbed. The trick to applying any face oils is to use the pressing motion, NOT rubbed or slathered. Using any other method would result in that oily feeling that freaks us all out.

When to buy:

Just so you happen to have a friend living in Australia who comes back often, get him / her to bring back a bottle for you. If you don’t yet know, Jurlique is an Australian brand and I heard, that it is more affordable to get them there.

3. BODY: L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil

This product is genius. Whoever invented it, hands down – this is the one and only shower oil that transform into milk when in contact with water. Rinse off to find a hint of almond scent lingering on your skin. You can’t not fall in love with this.

How much to use:

A dollop of a Malaysian 50 cents coin and a little more if needed. I use it only in the morning as I have not the time for body lotion.

When to buy:

L’Occitane’s Christmas promotion! I always wait for mid December to purchase what you see above – 2 sealable bags of refill + a bottle (without the pump). I find the pouring kind more practical as water seems to always find a way to get into the pump kind in the shower, when the last thing I want is dilution.

So there you go! Do you have a favorite beauty oil you’d like to share?

P.S. This is NOT a sponsored post. I’ve decided to feature amazing beauty products once a month that are worth sharing, so that more women can discover and benefit from what’s truly best for them.
