Ever since I dyed my hair ombre, which means bleach was required, every morning I wake up with knotted balls of tangled hair. It looks like this:

Does this look familiar? I feel you.

As I don’t like sending out negative energy through my blog, i.e. my frustration in this case, allow me to share with you this piece of emotion through a series of my wacky and wild experiments, on my attempts to get beautifully straight hair when getting ready to attend the 493625458th wedding this month.

Experiment: ‘The Zero Heat Iron’

Experiment: The ‘D.I.Y. Press’

Just . . . do NOT try this at home.

Conclusion: Experiments FAILED.

I came across this interesting product with a Facebook contest that showcases hair straightening and I am very tempted to try it. It seems that Sunsilk is launching a new product range named ‘Perfect Straight’, co-created with Yuko Yamashita, a straight hair expert from Tokyo!

For ladies who like to keep their hair beautifully straight and aligned when it dries*, I’ve read that this variant uses a special Straight Lock technology™. Of course, the next thing I did was TRY it on my hair. The results?

Sunsilk

*Only on straight hair, based on lab test, when used with Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner.
