There was a strong temptation of watching the last saga of Twilight colliding with the interest of writing this from a train to Barcelona; but such opportunity for multitasking practice will do as super skill for future perusal. Blogging during train rides has become a refreshing take on this hobby of mine, but instead of writing you about lovely Spain, we are (again) going back to Germany; this time, to the largest indoor aquarium in the world – with such unique design.

Located at Berlin’s Radisson Blu Hotel, this is a much preferred visit compared to many other suggested touristic things; if you ask me.

Before going up and into the WOW factor aquarium (yes, UP and INTO), was a small underwater world tour where i witnessed same ol’ things under new light. For example, as illustrated above, a blossoming octopus. i’ve seen many octopuses but none that bloomed so gracefully in front of my eyes that i could remember every second of it like it was a touching movie. Also, tickling a starfish for real for the very first time. Attending the meeting of seahorses and prawn committee. Watching pulsating baby squids close to ‘hatching’. Searching for the tiny white fighter prawn who was superb at hiding. And dreaming of eating that sweet fleshed giant crab all by myself; i might hit Leo with its crazy claw if he intends to steal some from me.

Depending on how you want to look at it, i believe that things being things are pretty much the same everywhere – what makes it different is our own willingness to put an effort to see more in them whether if it’s during traveling, or our daily lives. Hence i must say that this short and sweet sea adventure made the whole trip into and through the elephantine aquarium, complete. :)

Would you visit this aquarium if you were to visit Berlin? ;)
