The Treasure Pot

To those of you who are craving for more awesomom’s delicious and artistic dishes, here I come with MOORRREEE. :D

Because there is a star in this blog entry and that’s not me, I shall start by posting a less prettier picture of myself, nah :

IMG_2349

God, I hope that hasn’t scare you away~

Starting with brunch, we had :

IMG_2295

Spicy Flowery Crab Mee Hoon

IMG_2298

Mom even helped us dig out the meat out of those crabs. So touched…  T__________T

IMG_2301

Sze Chuan Style Hot & Sour Soup - verrryyy appetizing.

IMG_2299

Pulut Leper – A delicacy from Terengganu, pronounced as “pulut liper“. Ianya merupakan pulut berintikan ikan.

IMG_2302

Ate too much we had to go for a swim in the pool to speed up digestion.

Then as we were watching TV halfway, mum surprised us with these huge, bigass prawns! :

IMG_2300

Holy Moly!

Wonder where these prawns were going? All of em’, into the Treasure Pot.

Let’s start with the base of the pot.

IMG_2310

Stuffed Bean Curd Puffs, Nam Yee Yam, turnips & baby corns.

Now let’s take a 360 degree look :

IMG_2318

What really grabbed my attention though, was the giant abalones and huge braised dried scallops. Seems like size does matter! XD

IMG_2319

Here we also have braised dried oysters, salted prawns (now you know where the prawns went), Golden Money Bags

Wondering what’s in the money bags? Heheheh…

IMG_2325

Mom’s so creative and cute at the same time. She chose to surprise us with quail eggs!! :D

IMG_2322

Each of us siblings had an abalone EACH. <3 <3

IMG_2324

Yay! *cheers to a new year*

Forced my lazy ass to get up the couch and doll-up as my friends were coming over :

IMG_2328

Wore an XS Jaspal dress; a birthday gift from Audrey. (she really thinks I’m an XS but I’m not that thin lorrr! luckily nge ngeh jiii still can fit).

IMG_2327

My friends are… mainly guys. Not because I was a bitch at high school, but because I was the only Chinese female in the Science stream.  -__________-

Last but not least, just like our previous post, we highlight the star dish at the end of our post.

For CNY day 1, it was the Tiger Chiffon Cake. For CNY day 2 :

IMG_2314

It would be mom’s famous Hakka dish – the Treasure Pot. ^^

Another round of applause guys! Mom cooked all the dishes herself. I hope you enjoyed it.

Lov ya~

XO – Cin

A food blog would be really great, make your mum famous!
Sorry if I wasn’t following too well, is your mum a housewife?
Your parents seemed to be showering you and your brother alot
of love! They really inspire me to wanna be an amazing
parent too someday :) I was wondering if you can blog more regarding
your childhood, how you and your brother grew up..
memorable experiences..and I am really curious as to whether
have you got scolded by your parents before? Your family
seems so like a role model family!
