Chap Goh Meh
2010
It is that time of the week again. My family just left me alone in my suite back to our hometown. Instead of staring at the wall and communicating with my BaBy BlackBerry, I decided to make better use of my time; which is to blog.
Today is the last day of Chinese New Year. To my surprise, I actually manage to celebrate every second of it. I’m serious~ Whether I’m at work, or even before I go to bed, I make sure I have something on me that is new. A new necklace or new lingerie for example. It makes a difference.
When I was young, CNY seemed to be about playing with cousins my age. Then it became about collecting angpows, buying clothes, visiting as many friends as I can, and for the next couple of years it felt like Chinese New Year didn’t mean anything.
However, this year it comes so naturally to me that CNY is about celebrating it with your family. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you do, that’s what it is all about. Not friends or money or the clothes you wear. Maybe because this is my year (the Tiger year) and I’m an adult now! lololol -_______-
Anyways, I hope you had a great celebration so far and I also hope that I’ve managed to successfully share with you how I celebrated mine through this blog.
I’ve posted countless pictures of CNY dishes but not the chef; which is my mom. So today, I’m gonna do that.

This is my mom, and also our beloved guest chef in Cin City.
She’s the one who will bring you this for example; Royal Jelly Strawberry Cheesecake. <3s!
And the Superwoman who can also make aloe vera grow THIS tall. @@
Or the feng sui plant THIS tall. =O
Not only can my mom cook, she also does gardening / landscaping like a pro!
Took a last glimpse of my pink car before we left for KL to celebrate the rest of CNY at my aunt’s…
Neway karaoke with my grl coussies~
FUN FUN FUN
My cousin’s handsome baby boy came visit – LOVESSS.
Starting from here is the last few pics of mom’s delicious CNY cuisines, so take a close look guys! Extravagant things coming up like :
Guess what’s inside -
3 Treasure Pots worth almost *1K if you get em’ outside! *Subject of price availability is based on Dragon-i’s Treasure Pots.
Silk Cocoons with Golden Strings (Pretty Pan Fried So-Mee with Egg Omelet).
Vegetarian - Sweet & Sour + Spicy Tau Kee.
LOH BAK!!! Every man’s favourite.
Glutinous Rice Lap Cheong. I’m sure there’s a proper name for this – what is it called again??? If you can help.
Oh and before I forgot, here is something I can’t possibly miss out. Wait for it…
Mommy’s SHARK FIN SOUP :
I added some vinegar for that extra kick~
WHY IS IT THE BEST, YOU WONDER??? TAKE A LOOK YOURSELF :
It has many so maaaaaaaannnnnnnnyyyyyy beautiful lil’ crab claw meat inside I can’t help but to SCREAM it out!!!!!!!!!
THANKS MOM, WE <3 YOU!!!
This is my last CNY post featuring my mom’s cooking, so if you have anything nice to tell her, please leave a comment and I shall link 3 peeps with the BEST comment in my blog. Okie?
XO~!

Dear Cindy,
Your mom is a SUPER CHEF. I would like to ask, have you at one point of growing up dislike your mom’s cooking or ever let your weight gets out of control? You know, if my mom is the same as your mom, I would be over 200KG by your age. (^^)

that is a very good question. i was once a skinny bitch and i used to spit my food down the toilet bowl with my brother at my old house. but i reckon that’s because i was just a kid who can’t eat (u know that type). but then somehow, my mom managed to cheat me into eating more nutritious food & drinkin milk. after that, my appetite starts improving & so does her cooking so, i was fat & round for a year, then i learn how to eat WISELY, so here i m. ^^

Not only your mum cooking looks delicious but also it looks pretty which often many homecooked food failed to do so. This contrary to popular belief that yummy homecooked food cannot be yummylicious. And you are the lucky one, because your mum loves cooking and she is your personally chef! Her cooking must have made you waiting to go home sharp 5.30pm to check out what for dinner tonight every single day !!!!! So envy~ she looks so chic yet a chef!

Cin, as always..since day ONE I have never stopped wishing your mum is my mum heheh! She cooks superbly, even right down to supporting you with healthy diet! She makes extra effort with all her cooking, from preparations to presentations! You are so blessed having a mum like her, and yes, you should get her to blog about food, how to cook em, ingredients, etc…who knows she’ll be the next celeb next to Chef Wan..although I know she only wants to cook not coz of fame, but coz she loves her family and only wants the best for them
