Audrey Hepburn For A Day
2010
On the 3rd day of Chinese New Year, I decided to go Audrey Hepburn.
Essential stuff you need :
- A LBD (little black dress) or white
- Pearl necklace
- HUGE sunglasses
- A “wand”
All checked!

Since I wasn’t wearing black, I didn’t wanna go for the red lipstick, so what I did was to transfer the red to my feet! Wear red heels. You need to have a bit of red at least.

Gong Xi Gong Xi~ Don’t forget that we have 15 days of CNY! I simply love how mom mixed the faux mei hua and real green plants together outdoors. That way, they seem more real don’t you think?

Or by planting real red flowers and decorating em’ with ang pow cutouts. <3
Peek-a-booooo…
Guess what is this thing above my head -
It is a cage to trap foxes! I am serious; FOX! We have many of them coming to our garden lately.
According to Eu, when the first black fox intruded our house, some neighbours came to the rescue. What they did with it AFTER was to COOK the fox with CURRY. Serious shit man… serious shit!
I couldn’t bear to imagine how they killed a living fox which; most prolly was howling like mad when the knife slitted its throat or stabbed its heart. )))=
But anyway, speaking about curry food, I think I’m gonna start my post with pictures of my mom’s cooking again. =P
For BREAKFAST we had :
Laksa Terengganu with sambal belacan sprinkled with raw salt + daun kesung. Uuhhhlamak oiii! I had 2 plates wtf.
My brother Eu.
I helped myself with a generous slice of Tiger Chiffon Cake after; which looks like this inside.
As for LUNCH, we had :
Singapore Hokkien Mee
Yam Cake
SUPER DUPER CUTE Char Siew Pau
For HIGH TEA we had :
‘Nian Nian You Yi” Jelly
Mom’s jelly or pudding recipes are all nutritious. This one, despite looking all artistic, is made out of the yellow part (sweet potatoes) and the brown part (black sesame). Sounds GOOD right?! =D
Had too much to eat so I went swimming after.
DINNER was majestic!
Emerald Tofu with Prawn & Gingko. Guess what the emerald (‘jade’) is made of! ;P
Braised Fish Maw with Mushrooms & Bamboo~ Everybody’s favourite dish in our family, anytime!
‘Mei Tsai Kou Rou‘ – WTF THIS REALLY LOOKS LIKE WHAT WE ORDER IN CHINESE RESTAURANTS LOR!!!
Tauhu Kok underneath… juicy siottt~! Nom Nom Nom Nommms.
‘Squirrel’ Fish! IT IS BONELESS!!! MY LIFE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! LOL
Fried Prawn + Yam + Sweet Potato Dumplings *aahhh orgasm wtf*
Now, a sight some may not like…
A PIG’S TAIL! Hahahahahaha… I really found this funny when mom showed it to me to my face.
Pig Tail Peanut Lotus Soup <3 <3 <3 Feels so much like home.
I’m gonna end this gastronomical post with a couple of my high school gathering party pictures :
5 Science 1!!! I was so so so fucking mad happy that everyone turned up!! Every. Single. Member. Of the Class!
Don’t ask me why I was the only Chinese girl cuz I really don’t have an answer for that. xD
5 Science + 5 Akaun + 5 Pedagangan.
Btw, we were doing the ‘1 Malaysia‘ finger pose. Lovesss it!
Let me end this post with a Audrey Hepburn quote. It goes like this :
“My look is attainable. Women can look like Audrey Hepburn by flipping out their hair, buying the large sunglasses, and the little sleeveless dresses.”
Now you can GET THE LOOK too. Good luck! ![]()
