It should be naughty, or stubborn hedgie; but in order for me to make this post sound as loving as possible, I shall use funny.

Well, it’s not totally untrue…. Carpet is funny. Hypothesis will be proven later.

Before some fun, what about a small lesson-of-the-day?

How do you hold a pinball.

In the beginning, I didn’t (really) dare to touch her. So I let her climb her way up to the top and to my palm.

But that’s obviously not the right way. You have got to handle your pet!

Not being used to my scent, Carpet struggles to avoid me. )=

In this case, it is not about your pet listening to you. It is the other way round – You listen to your pet! FML.

Her quills will fall. Excuse my chipped nails; it’s ugly I know.

Place her down slowly…

There are 2 ways to carry a hedgie.

1. You scoop her from the front – below her pointed nose to under the belly. I’ve already mastered this step but sometimes, I still do FAIL. That’s when you use step 2 :

2. The sides – for beginners.

Jeremy teo toto came over to visit my Carpet. He was the one who figured out scooping her from the sides. It works because if you notice the quills, they are only on her back, non at the sides or underneath. (=

That’s when you can stroke her (from top to back) just like what Jere’s doing. ONE DIRECTION ONLY okay~
