Christmas Must Read!!!

The city streets of OZ can be considered bare on Christmas eve’s night even when there’s no snow. Everyone is at home with their families and love ones celebrating the graceful holy night.

I am an Asian and a Buddhist, I don’t have any family members in OZ. It was 2 years ago and then, I thought maybe I should go shopping to buy myself a X’mas gift. But to my surprise, all shops were CLOSED. o.O”

I was at Melbourne and it wasn’t even Christmas day yet but everyone was already feeling cozy and homely. Unlike Malaysia, where Christmas eve’s night means hell on the city roads.

I used to wanna make sure that I make full use of the celebration by squeezing sweat out with the crowd for I-don’t-even-know-what. Fireworks?? -____-

Now that I look back, it is not like I was any happier than this Christmas that I chose to celebrate like a real Christian – with my family.

* * *

I woke up at 7am (so not me on a holiday) for breakfast with my family. (:

IMG_1022

@ Ah Xian’s dimsum corner, Puchong.

IMG_1013

I personally think that the best amongst ALL is the fish ball.

IMG_1014

I chose to dress myself in a white cotton top and short jeans with red fluffy pom pom earrings to set for the Christmas mood.  o^^o

IMG_1016

Mummy!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Mummy wasn’t wearing any makeup and they say, me without is just like my mum 20 years ago. Like photocopy. lol!

IMG_1018

My daddy and my best friend / brother Eugene in his V neck T screaming “A-ha-ha-ha Staying Alive!

I only took pictures of more interesting/tasty stuff compared to the rest of the dim sums :

IMG_1021

Scallop would be the interesting one, but it does not taste spectacular at all. Not with the gray veins along them!! yuckkkkk…..

IMG_1019

This one is delicious; the steaming hot char siew pau and its oozing gravy. *yumsss* Totally swell!

So next time if you ever happened to go there, order the fish balls and paus ok!!!

Straight after breakfast, we adjourned to my aunt’s house at Equine Park where all aunts where there with their children my cousinsss! <3

IMG_1024

I gave baby J my Santa hat!

IMG_1026

He ngoi leng – checked out his reflection on the shiny black piano to adjust his hat. rofl~

IMG_1028

Eeeeee cheekky!!!

IMG_1032

I simply chose a plant indoors and treated it as a X’mas tree; arranging the gifts I bought around it. xD

IMG_1029

And asked Santa Julian to be my Claus for the day! So cute like mini Prime Minister pulak.

IMG_1037

Recorded him on video and learned to use iMovie (FINALLY!) using Disney, my Macbook. Even figured out iDVD simultaneously on how to burn the file into a CD compatible for TV! I’m a genius. =P

Baby J and basically EVERYONE liked it heaps! Below is an edited version (30 seconds) *MUST WATCH!*

Julian was practicing his CNY tune (yes CNY not X’mas). Each time he hits a wrong key, he says “Too baddd!

Slowly, he started to get engrossed with his own music, and wanted to be a lil’ Jay Chou! So he tried playing the piano without looking.

To see how he does it, watch this! :

Too cute.

Then I showed Julian how to play with Disney’s Photobooth function and we cam whored… XD

Photo 132

HAHAHA *loves*

Back at the kitchen, the Christmas pie is slowly turning golden in the oven:

IMG_1052

IMG_1093

Small one is for Julian. lol – Mum why you so damn rajin?

IMG_1053

My thin slice of apple pie. Awesomesauce! :D

IMG_1044

Julian devouring his own lil’ sweet pie~

IMG_1043

Bite size morsels sure do give you finger lickin’ good fun!!

He enjoyed it so much he ran away with it -

IMG_1050

And it fell to the ground and broke his heart; just like the pie above… Poor baby.

NOW COMES THE GREATEST PART OF THIS POST :

IMG_1055

Guess what this is peeps!

My mum baked a CHOCOLATE SWISS ROLL which looks like this from above :

IMG_1057

:O

IMG_1062

Front view OMG- :OOOOO

I, myself was amazed by mum’s baking skills. She has improved so so much!

IMG_1084

Slicing the ‘log’…

IMG_1085

Its a true beauty cuz it is perfect both in and out!

IMG_1089

The green thing is actually dessicated coconut in Pandan juice  (natural colouring and flavour) as the “snow on grass” in our Christmas log cake picture.

IMG_1092

Now you see it, now you just don’t! LOL

As expected. I was not absolutely surprised that the cake was swept clean off the tray… hahaha! Mum has a backup and I PREFER THIS ONE MORE !!!!!!!!!! :

IMG_1070

REAL leaves from the garden as cake deco.

IMG_1078

FASTER SAY, NICE OR NOT!!! :D DD

IMG_1079

^o^

Was feeling too full after all that food, pie, and cakes dancin’ in my tummy~

Listened to Jaclyn Q played some Christmas sonata LIVE on her piano :

IMG_1097

Ei this picture is serious one, not posing buat-buat macam tengoh play ok~ Haha later you thought that we were just playing cam whore!

IMG_1101

Had some awesome cucur udang made of yam + sweet potato stripes + fresh prawns!!! BIG <3

Mum deep fried 2 big ass trays and all went missing! WTF – the combination is too awesome.

Now, it is Gift Time baybeh!

IMG_1104

IMG_1105

Something you’ll like but won’t buy, and will spend a LOT of time on“, he says. SO TRUE; KNOWS ME TOO WELL!  xD

Then there’s Eri’s gingerbread girls in my X’mas eve post.

And I bought myself :

IMG_1114

A magic eye gel | Shu Eu’s Facial Oil Cleanser | NANETTE LEPORE omg finally!!! | a pink T-shirt

And if you noticed, everything is coincidentally PINKISH! *flashes bimbo eyeslashes*

Magic eye gel is damn expensive I swear but I find it the most effective amongst ALL eye creams I’ve tried before.

IMG_1116

There’s even a lock to prevent wastage.

IMG_1117

And a fix on rubber nipple to massage the delicate area of your eyes instead of using your fingers.

Well, the real gift I got for myself is not the above but this one below I’ve been waiting for A YEAR to get :

IMG_1118

IMG_1119

I fell in love with this fler’s scent the moment I smelt it. It is so romantic and refreshing~

Lots of Love to everyone who reads this post. <3

the magic eye gel, erm… is a name i gave. the real name is very quaint i don’t rmbr what, BUT u can get it at any SaSa outlets. It is a brand under “Beauty Talk” intro-ed by the famous Taiwanese beauty talk show “Nv Ren Wo Zui Da”.

Price is RM165 T_____T & u get a free sample gel moisturizer (quite nice also!). Review wise, i have fun applying it every time & i believe i see a difference! i would recommend it, if u don’t mind trying… Good luck! ;)
