It must be the beer. It really must have been the beer. I set 3, THREE alarms; and guess how many did I hear?

NONE.

The alarms were as follow – 6.05 am, 6.15 am, 6.30 am. I, woke up at 7.30 am while the BUS, leaves at 7.45 am! FML MLIA. So typical. Same old drama.

Do you know, that I received the ‘Most Fashionably Late‘ certificate for my graduation at Uni; while everyone else got ‘Most Hardworking‘, ‘Most Helpful‘, or even ‘Best Actor‘? Maybe I should trademark the word ‘LATE’ so when Starbucks comes out with a coffee name Late Latte’ for people like me, I can charge them royalty. LOL

You must be wondering; where was Tey Cindy going to by bus early in the morn?

This is an experience based story of me & Audrey during our short & sweet trip to watch Beyonce LIVE in Singapore, thanks to Hotlink. (:

I reached Avenue K at 8.30 am. EVERYONE was waiting for me in the bus. So I did a lame apologetic speech asking the Hotlink winners not to hate me and sat next to Aud. All I could see in her lil face was her pair of big, big eyes @.@! I felt so sepet; how could anyone look so bright in the morning? I’m SO gonna have to train my eyes using toothpicks to hold em’ wiiidddeee open from now on.

This is our bus plate number. It is a very memorable one~ Apparently, this bus has a name. It’s full name is “Woo Kilo Kilo” (because our tour guide’s name is Woo, and Kilo Kilo, the bus). Laughs my head off! Woo is a damn funny guy. His laughter is funnier than his jokes and Aud can recognize his name more than his face.

We reached the hotel around 2pm and were given room keys + T-shirts. What T-shirts?? Now even our T-shirt has a name! It is ‘But A King’.

Oh sorry~ It’s ‘Put A Ring’! You’d be surprised how long it took me & Aud to figure that out! We were shivering under the already turned-off air cond; spinning the shirt 360 degrees reading “But A King?  But a King?? What the hell is BUT A KING?! – Put a ring on it is it???” Hahaha… OLIA.

Because I totally forgot to change my ringgits to dollars, I bought Maggi in a Cup (just in case I starve to death). Audrey bought 1 too, and we had a greaattt time slurping noodles while opening facial pores with its steam.

Narcissism is necessary in a hotel room.

While waiting for everyone to get ready, we took some pics in the hotel lobby.

And we walked to Fort Canning; by foot!

Fort Canning – A Walk to Remember. Why? Well it wasn’t too bad, until something poisonous STUNG my left foot; which then spreads to my right and now even my elbows… =.=” The skin specialist said it was SO toxic the poison actually stayed in my body and reacted later on! OMGosh. Spare my life you damn bug!

But the party / concert was so happening I couldn’t really concentrate on the bitten wound.

Aud & I decided to walk around while waiting for the Black Eyed Peas to come on stage. We bought a RM10 hotdog each; which filled my stomach just by pathetically staring at it.

There goes the queue. The stubborn thought of imagining how awesome it would be “to have a dozen mugs of beer now” was quite annoying. But I don’t wanna get drunk thus miss any second of Beyonce’s well-rehearsed performance!, so we settled with H2O.

Aud & I were betting if Fergie would be wearing a different outfit from her Malaysia’s performance, and no doubt we were damn right about it!

Performance ends with “I Gotta Feelin” and lotsa glitters in the air~!

During the intermission / set change for Beyonce, there’s this guy who did a Beat Box performance.

I have to say, that it was EFF-ING good! Surprisingly.

Wanna see Singapore with sampah-sarap for ONCE???

YUCK! Oh but it was very thoughtful of them to give us a fan each. I reckon I would faint without it. This fan actually saved me from cigarette smoke produced by some inconsiderate people, the mixed scent of stale perfume baking in the air, the aggressive people who wanted to squeeeezzzeeee into aud & my space… I just take my hand-held fan and fan them away!

While Beyonce was singing “Irreplaceable“, I cam-whored because of the lovely purple colour lighting effect. (like DJ Havana Brown, remember?? I also want!)

Single Ladies “Put A Ring On it”, remember?! Not “But A King” okay!! ROFL

As a contribution to the last legend – MJ, Beyonce’ sang “Halo“; which made Aud & I cry!!! Seriously damn touching.

There was also a medley of “Check On It“, “Bootylicious“,  ”Bug A Boo“, “Jumpin’ Jumpin‘”, “Upgrade U“, “Video Phone” and the evergreen “Say My Name“.

My makeup was so messed-up it became like this:

FFS we still had to WALK HOME. I prayed for my feet I swear I did. Back to the hotel room it felt like HEAVEN ON EARTH!

I had a nice hot shower and massaged my legs with some hotel lotion. Daymn sedaaappp! *snoozed*

The next morning after shower, I drew a chick on the mirror with a pointer saying it’s Audrey Ooi! hahaha~

And she drew an Oink back for me.

The whole trip was tiring but definitely a fun one, and most importantly, memorable.

This is one of the greatest experience for me so far to watch a splendid performance; where so much sweat and effort were poured in, by the internationally recognized talented Queen Beyonce. Thank you Hotlink. (=*

On our way back, I decided to shortcut the name Woo Kilo Kilo to Wiko Wiko. It sounds more magical by the way. So Mr Willy Wonka Wiko Wiko stopped his bus and we had mee rebus for lunch @ Johor.

I guess happy Hot faces do Link together! ^^
